This photo is but a tiny glimpse of the mountain of hard drives, backup tapes and server blades left over from a bespoke legacy IT system that came with the day job, and which my team has since replaced with a commodity cloud solution.

What we’ve got now is simpler, faster and more flexible for our users. And it costs ten times less in licensing, hosting and support fees.

Don’t let them tell you it can’t be done.
